The higher we went, the nicer the people became. Up at Alpe Cortone, "Papa Piedro" even served coffee and grappa and gave us lots of background information about the area - although of course I only understood a fraction of it. But it was exciting nonetheless :-)

Cool but sunny day. Starting point in Pontetto and a walk to the entrance of Val Agarina where the presence of snow no longer cycleable advises us to return, and here the fun begins.....
From Altoggio taking the mule track that takes us back to the starting point the trail is completely cleared of trees previously fallen due to snowfall …
