Aigua Dolça Cove

Highlight • Beach

This cove is halfway between the spectacular Cap de Ferrutx and the urbanization of Betlem. The coastal strip between es Caló and Caló d en Sureda (na Clara, Cala Mata, na Pastor, Caló d en Serra and sa Pedra Alta) has a rugged low coast (about five meters), small rocks, which are ancient fossilized dunes with strata rocky outcrops formed millions of years ago, as well as numerous shoals and cliffs.

Betlem Hermitage

Highlight • Religious Site

The Betlem hermitage is in one of the quietest areas of Mallorca, located on a balcony with spectacular views and open to the nearby bay of Alcúdia. To get to the hermitage, you have to walk along a beautiful path surrounded by cypress trees. From here, you can access many hiking routes.

A triangulation tower (Spanish: Torres de defensa or Torres d'Enfilació) is a tower built by the navy on the coast for navigation purposes.
This tower assists boats or submarines in determining their position by means of triangulation. On the north coast of Mallorca, the Spanish navy built 28 triangulation towers in pairs, 1240 meters apart, each 200 meters from the other. The towers were used by the Spanish fleet for bearing triangulation during military exercises approximately between 1941 and 1970. These towers, reminiscent of obelisks with their slender construction, were often painted white and the top bore a red marking.
