Neuhöfer Teich

Highlight • Lake

The Neuhöfer Teich is a small, idyllic pond in Reinfeld, which you can walk around relatively quickly in beautiful nature. A recommendation for a short walk in between.

Trave Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The hiking trail is also very interesting by SUP from the water. I really enjoy watching the many different types of dragonflies, butterflies, birds, aquatic plants and possibly grass snakes.

August 27, 2022,Stormarnweg - Von Reinfeld nach Bad Oldesloe
Always a trip Worth the tour, but probably everyone already knows it anyway 😁😉
But surprisingly few people were out...

A very nice and varied tour with forests, some asphalt and fields, lots of water and also relatively quiet.
I would like to do it again 😁
Oh and perfect to reach by train...

Thanks to @Saskia (Wandertante) for the tip 😉

A really beautiful stage with great landscapes and lots of variety. You hike along the Trave, encounter very hilly paths, enjoy endless expanses and walk through rustic forests. Near Bad Oldesloe I had to leave the hiking trail for a short time. Here the path was closed due to construction work on a railway bridge.

Tour 12 from the Rother hiking guide around Hamburg 3rd edition
Since I'm going to Hamburg for a business trip today and I left late, this little tour still fit in. It is also marked as the Stormarn hiking trail or the St. James Way Via Baltica and makes you want more.

We hiked the shortest stage of the Stormarnweg today. This stage was really beautiful and varied. First it went from Bad Oldesloe along the Trave hiking trail and then through the Kneeden, a forest area. Now forest and field alternated before we arrived in Reinfeld. There were wide hiking trails, narrow hiking trails and very little asphalt. There were also …

Start: RE 80, Bad Oldesloe Station
Destination: RE 80, Reinfeld Station
Start time: 7:35 a.m.
Weather: Sunny at first, then clear, 12 degrees Celsius at the start, 17 degrees Celsius at the finish

Since rain was forecast for the afternoon, I decided on an early start.
A wise decision, as I realized when I wrote this comment.

The fifth stage was beautiful. Even at the beginning, I made slow progress – not because the path was difficult, but because there was so much to discover. There was something to see and smell everywhere: blossoms, the play of light, the fresh air. Chattering birdsong here, melancholy verses there. It was difficult to just walk.
