Edale to Hollins Cross Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

A varied in terrain climb up to Hollins cross. Super views down the valley and up hill. Some of the trail in singletrack before then opening up into a nice wide but very rocky and tech bridleway. Awesome climb for those who like a challenge.

Hollins Cross

Highlight • Mountain Pass

Hollins Cross is a col with spectacular panoramic views. There are loads of great trails around here, especially via the Great Ridge to Mam Tor. It can get very busy at popular times/when the weather is great, so choose your moment.

Jaggers Clough Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

One of the most memorable sections of trail anywhere in the Peak, Jaggers Clough is a stony banked chute down which you can ride full throttle, splash through the stream at the bottom, then carry your speed into the equally rocky ascent. As you reach the top of the climb, the staggering views of the Hope Valley unfurl before you.

The Beast Upper Descent

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

A challenging descent. It is fairly steep but it's the rocks that will get you. Line choice is vital as taking the wrong one will likely end in an OTB moment (no fun on this surface). Carry a bit of speed and (generally) keep left and it is all rideable, but there is no shame in putting your foot down. (Well ...just a little) 🤣

View over Ladybower Reservoir

Epic views of Ladybower reservoir on a meandering easy trail.

Shatton Edge Descent

Highlight • Viewpoint

This is a scenic descent that runs beside the Shatton Moor peak. It combines stunning scenery with challenging terrain but it's definitely worth it.

View of Hope Valley

Highlight • Natural Monument

Make sure you look up when riding, the climbs are tough in this part of the world but be sure to enjoy the views.

Cracking 1st day with Chaz showing him round Hope Valley.
All the big ones ticked off, Broken Road, Mam Tor, The Beast, Elmin Pitt’s, Shatton Moor and Pin Dale.
Everywhere was so dry, even the Bradwell Descent! Cracking ride with the obligatory Cafe Adventure pit-stop.
Trails around Ladybower tomorrow. Fingers crossed for similar weather.
Cracking ride guiding Geoff round some of the awesome trails around Hope Valley.
A lovely bloke and he’s only been riding an e-bike a few years, considering that and he’s 74, he absolutely smashed it! 🤙🏻
Definitely got lucky with the weather, it was a really nice day. Quiet and picturesque. Perfect Peak riding conditions.
