Great view of The Old Man of Coniston, a prominent fell in the Furness Fells.

It's the highest point in the historic county of Lancashire. Rising to at least 2,632 feet (802m), it's situated to the west of the village of Coniston and Coniston Water.

Gravel Descent with Switchbacks and View of Coniston Water

Highlight • Trail

700ft of flatstick floaty gravel decent full of touchy feely trailing the back brake; drifting the rear laterally through your cleats and dive bombing the hairpins before squaring off the tip - in & sprinting the big ring out the exit back up to pace. This combined with the dropdead view of Coniston water, 20C sunshine and YT music picking the '92 white label of Ntrance's set you free through my headphones makes this a memory that'll stick for a long time.

PSA: the bottom of this exits onto the Nibthwaite to Coniston/Hawkshead road. Look for Lawson park if you wanted to climb this off the road.
