Really fun on MTB or Gravel bike

Can use the forest road to do easy laps of this descent for good skills training.

Ashton Court is well worth a visit on mountain bikes or cross bikes. A single track trail snakes around the outside of the estate and suitable for anyone with a reasonable ability on a bike. There is also a really nice cycle friendly cafe where you can grab a coffee and slice of cake.

Leigh Woods

Highlight • Viewpoint

Leigh Woods is a tranquil nature reserve situated next to the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge. With a delightful mix of broadleaf woodland, open grassy glades, and much flora and fauna, the reserve’s waymarked trails lead you to breathtaking viewpoints over Bristol, the suspension bridge crossing the Avon Gorge, and beyond. The woodland is in the care of the National Trust.

The central hub at Ashton Court, here you'll find Pedal Progression, a MTB hire shop and coaching business who are responsible for the ace trails here, a cafe with both indoor and outdoor (covered) seating, and the golf course hub, as well as public toilets and a bike wash.

There's pay and display parking here. Alternatively, if you're visiting from the city of Bristol, it's a great pedal across the Clifton Suspension Bridge or up the main estate road from the start of the Pill Path.
