St Mary's Well (Clootie Well)

Highlight • Natural

A 'Clootie' well. This was the place of Pagan tradition where a piece of cloth was left to make a wish. A clootie is the word for 'rag', and it was also believed that the well had healing powers.

Velocity Café & Bicycle Workshop

Highlight • Rest Area

Nice cycling hotspot within Inverness. The Velocity cafe & bicycle workshop offers great coffee and lunch, but as the name says, also a nice little bicycle workshop. You can set the mechanics to work, but can also (cheaper) rent out a work space and do your own repairs. Love this feature!
The cafe itself has a nice vibe to it, although it's not the 'cycling cafe' you might expect. The couple of times I've been here, I was the only person in lycra there. Still a nice cafe though :)

Highlight • River

Inverness is a wonderful Scottish city with a fascinating history. Meaning Mouth of the River Ness, the ancient cathedral city is a welcome metropolis in the sprawling Scottish Highlands.

From Nordic invasion to Jacobite battles and Royal killings, Inverness has played an important part in British history.

The city has a huge range of restaurants, accommodation and things to see and do.
