River Wey Footbridge

Highlight • Bridge

There is a footbridge here that spans the River Wey on this bridleway, though we had to ford the river as it was under construction in 2020!

The water was pretty deep, even in July, so it's not really one for riding either. Whether you take your shoes and socks off or not is down to you.

Sandy Lane Ford

Highlight • Bridge

The choice is yours; over the bridge or through the splash! There's a central paved stone portion if you're going to ride it, but go easy as it can get pretty slippery through Jumps Stream!

View of the Devil's Punchbowl

Highlight • Natural Monument

No trip to the Punchbowl is complete without taking in the view from the dedicated viewpoint just beyond the National Trust cafe. A relief on a large stone on the viewing platform gives more information about what you can see.

Devil's Punch Bowl Trail

Highlight • Trail

Newly renovated lower trail which follows the Punchbowl bowl with great views. The new path is wide and smoothish, great for a family ride

The quiet lane lies just at the side of the A3 and is a useful way to connect Thursley and the Punchbowl. As the name suggests, the lane is quiet and generally traffic-free.

The pond is fed by an underwater spring and is known for its crystal clear qualities. It's home to a variety of wildlife including swans, ducks, and different types of fish species, and is generally a great spot to escape into nature and enjoy some tranquillity.
