Curious sight at the top of the hill - built by the Cadbury brothers. The park is excellent and spacious, views out over the countryside and Birmingham.

The Four Stones, Clent Hills

Highlight • Viewpoint

The Four Stones is a striking monument at the top of the Clent Hills. While they look prehistoric, they were erected around 1763 at the behest of an eccentric landowner. Nevertheless, the characterful stones are supposedly aligned with the solstice sunset and offer a magnificent view at all times of the year.

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Lovely tunnel of trees. Some rough going, but generally not muddy due to the chunky pebble / gravel track.

Beaconwood and the Winsel is a nature reserve on the edge of Birmingham. The woodland is renowned for stunning displays of bluebells and is a great place for spotting wildlife. The reserve is particularly good for birdwatching and is home to many species, including buzzards, kestrels, sparrowhawks, great spotted woodpeckers, tree creepers, pied flycatchers, tawny and little owls, plus more.

Beacon Hill Toposcope

Highlight • Monument

One of the highest points for miles around, Beacon Hill affords magnificent views over the countryside and into Birmingham. Historically, beacons would be lit on this hilltop to warn of invading armies. Beacon Hill Toposcope was built to mark the creation of the Lickey Hills Country Park after famous local chocolatiers the Cadbury family donated the former Royal hunting grounds to the public.
