Blea Rigg

Highlight • Viewpoint

Blea Rigg is a Wainwright in the Central Fells of the Lake District. It's nestled between the Easedale valley and the Langdale valley and as such it can be tagged onto a hike from either Grasmere or Great Langdale. Hiking in this area is quite rough underfoot with sheep tracks heading off in multiple directions, so navigation can be a little tricky here in bad weather.

Small Tarn at Bea Rigg

Highlight • Natural

It’s not an easy hike up in the winter, but well worth it for the other-world peak. Small waters and bogs galore! Just bring crampons in the winter and be sure to watch your step, as the surfaces under the snow can be deceiving.
