Tweed Café Wadworth

Highlight • Cafe

Friendly little cafe next to the butcher's shop tucked down a side lane in the village of Wadworth. Decent coffee, lovely cakes and tasty pies from the butcher.

great views of the castle from the viaduct, plenty of trails to explore near by. I recommend the Don Gorge, but stick to the cycle route! i took the walking route and it was not enjoyable.

Conisbrough Viaduct

Highlight • Bridge

You can use the viaduct to cross over the river, this gives you great views of the valley and Consiborough castle. Or there is a gravel trail which goes underneath the viaduct and the follows the river away from Conisborough, choose this route if you want to see the viaduct in its full magnitude

Highlight • Viewpoint

The Don Gorge is a must if traveling from doncaster to conisborough, but i plead to you... please stick to the cycle way. I took the walking path and it was not for the faint hearted!

River Don Riverside Path, Sprotbrough

Highlight (Segment) • Viewpoint

The Trans Pennine Trail is a super good multi-use trail that links the North and Irish Seas via Hornsea to Southport. At 215 miles (346 km), it is a brilliant long trail that traverses the Pennines, travels alongside rivers and canals, as well as going through some of the most charming towns in England.

Sprotbrough is one such place, being one of the nicest riverside towns out there with so many attractions such as Sprotbrough Weir, Sprotbrough Flash Nature Reserve, and of course nearby iconic Conisbrough Viaduct.
