An easy walk, with good waymarking. The disadvange of the route is the 14 stiles between Barkeston and Plungar. It is worth it for the view, north, up the Trent valley, across to Nottingham and up to Lincoln.
The benches shown are the best lunch spots of the many benches along this section of the towpath.
