Ėgiptė Evangelical Lutheran Church Ruins

Church of the Evangelical Lutheran community in Egypt in 1823. Landlord A. Ettingen (Alexander von Oettingen (1798-1846)) started building in Vilkumiest, which was consecrated in 1825. The church tower was built in 1863. The Evangelical Lutheran parish of Egypt was founded on February 28, 1567 by order of the Duke of Kurzeme. Approximately In 1584, the parish of Egypte had its own parish.
During the First World War, the top of the tower was destroyed. The church also suffered during the Second World War. in 1944 The Egyptian church was bombed and destroyed.
