This church is located 500 meters below the summit. If you don't feel comfortable climbing up and down in one day, you can stay here for a night. While sleeping outdoors is not allowed on the rest of the Athos peninsula, it is permitted on the summit. After all, you have to climb 2000 meters in altitude first.
