Stone Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

Beautiful and picturesque bridge that crosses the Onyar river as it passes through the city of Girona. Built in the mid-19th century with stone, this bridge connects the Barri Vell of the city with the Mercadal.

Federal Café, Girona

Highlight • Cafe

Amazing Café for coffee, food, healthy smoothies, snacks and evening drinks

Been in Girona many times and tried many places but always coming back to FEDERAL. Super fresh food with a huge variety of snacks, amazing egg dishes, salads and Burgers.

Coffee and all variations is really nice as well. Typical Italian style coffee (not fruity which I don’t like). Also the ‘Golden Milk’ is super nice.

Great atmosphere as well and perfect for some work on the laptop upstairs. Staff is also very welcoming and you can also store the bike in a safe place next door.

Thank you and see you soon again

The newest bridge in Girona, which was built in 1995, by the architects Antoni Blazquez, Lluís Guanter and Pere Solà, connects Passeig de Canalejas with Sant Feliu, Carrer de Calderers and Carrer de la Boat, crossing the Onyar. This is the last bridge over the exclusively pedestrian Onyar in the north direction.
For many visitors, crossing this bridge is the start of their visit to the city's Old Quarter, from the car and bus parking located next to Parc de la Devesa.
The perspective of Girona from this bridge is the most typical: in the foreground, the houses on the river; beyond, the towers of Sant Feliu and the Cathedral. It is also an excellent point of observation of the river fauna of the Onyar: from the emblematic carp or mallard ducks, to the less spectacular species, such as sunfish or gardeners and seagulls and gulls, flying over the space.

Pedret Bridge

Highlight • Bridge

Girona is where the Onyar meets the Ter and where there are two rivers, there are also some medieval bridges. This is one of the largest and connects directly in the direction of the old town with all its sights and, particularly exciting for racing cyclists, the cafés.
