Stage 1 of our Elbe bike tour. After yesterday's hike to the source of the Elbe and down to Spindlermühle, we now head downstream. Partly along the main roads, also on a special bike path through beautiful countryside and through places that you may not have already known - interesting and really beautiful!

So, for anyone who wants to cruise the Elbe, the journey to Spindlermühle is a disaster. Sometimes the trains run, sometimes they don't. Most of the staff are unfriendly and just look the other way!
