Wir beginnen die Wanderung in der Ortsmitte von Tennach beim Wirtshaus Rangabauer. Der Ort wurde schon im 13. Jahrhundert unter den letzten Meraniern angelegt und schon sehr früh Tennech genannt, was mit Siedlung beim oder am Tannengehölz gedeutet werden könnte.
