The Neisse Viaduct is very impressive, especially when you pass under it along the river.

Weinberg Tower

The current Weinbergturm was erected in 1885 by the Görlitz local group of the Riesengebirgsverein on the exhibition grounds of the trade and industry exhibition on today's Lutherplatz. It was already located on the exhibition grounds next to a restaurant near the Drachenfelsen, the current location of the Lutherkirche. The tower belonged to the restaurant and the lower passage was connected to the restaurant by a covered passage. A lift went up to the first passage.

After the end of the exhibition, the Görlitz local group donated the tower to the city, which had it erected on the Weinberggelände in 1887. The Weinberghaus, on the other hand, was built between 1889 and 1890 on the still unwooded slope. Two years earlier, a pedestrian bridge was built west of the Weinberghaus over the cut in the vineyard. The bridge existed until the early 1980s. It was blown up by a unit of the Löbau Officer School. Today, only four pillars remain of the bridge.
