Wooden bridge over the Schwartau

Highlight • Bridge

This route from Dänischburg to Lübeck is an insider route. You can start behind the Luv Center, where you start cycling after a little refreshment. The small bridge leads over the Schwartau, which branches off from the Trave here. The place "Alt Lübeck" near the bridge is particularly historically valuable. The city was founded a little later but slightly offset here at this point because the subsoil is too wet here. If you continue on this path, you can turn right at the next turn to Bad Schwartau, or you can continue straight ahead until you arrive in the Hanseatic city. A wonderful nature trail to the city center. This route is also ideal for driving from Lübeck to Travemünde. In Siems you can then drive through the forest in the direction of Brook to Travemünde. An ideal connection if you don't want to drive next to the road but want to experience a little nature

Travemünde Baltic Sea Promenade

Highlight • Cycleway

The Baltic Sea promenade can be cycled, the promenade on the Trave can only be pushed. Great promenade, wide beach and big boats.

A cycle path that is easy to use, but is also used by many walkers, so consideration is advised.

Brodtener Steilufer Cliffs

Highlight • Natural Monument

I usually take my binoculars and watch for ducks on the Baltic Sea. 🦆 There are other than mallard ducks. 😉

Here raging nature (: Between the spa Schwartau spa park, the Mönchskamp and the Riesebusch is a moorland with beautifully landscaped and well-paved walks. The area is characterized by small watercourses.HCLFHLHCLFHLHCLFHLHCLFHLHCLFHLSurfaces, which lead through otherwise marshy sections Banks too, everywhere, take a break, be quiet and be surprised.

With the good weather, I absolutely had to go out again. This time to the beach. But there was so much going on that I preferred to stay away from it.

Even today's bad weather didn't discourage us from taking a tour to Lübeck.
Today I took the "Komoot Tour," and unfortunately, it wasn't the best decision. The tour to Lübeck we did in May was much more interesting. Today we rode on the bike path, but often alongside the road, which wasn't so nice.
But it was worth the trip …

Today was our final vacation tour, after a week in Schleswig-Holstein. North Sea. Sankt Peter-Ording, Westerhever Lighthouse, Glückstadt, Kiel Canal, Rendsburg, Kiel, Lübeck-Timmendorfer Strand, and the Baltic Sea.

A health cure is not a vacation... and so every day that was free of appointments (or at least almost free of appointments) had to be put to good use. The weather had been stormy the past few days and so the unique cycle path along the cliff was unfortunately partially closed again due to the steadily advancing …

On the tour from Lübeck to Travemünde there is an interruption in the cycle path. This section takes the shuttle bus through the Herrentunnel under the Trave. Great service, the bus runs every ¼ hour during the day and on request from 9 p.m.
Unfortunately, the battery 🔋 of the cell phone was empty before the beloved Baltic Sea 😪 …

Lübeck, here we come...or are we?...Today we wanted to go cycling...my intervertebral discs weren't up to it this morning, so putting on my socks was a difficult undertaking🤣😂....finally ready to go...we went to our bikes...but setting off...no luck...my husband had a flat tire.🙄...well, we changed the tube...put on a new one...inflated it...bang...tube burst...and discovered a tear in the tire🙄....so first …

8 km have to be deducted for the worthwhile boat trip.
The old towpath along the Trave, which is a bit bumpy, takes you to the village of Gothmund. Time seems to have stood still here. As beautiful as this spot on the Trave is, it is threatened by expansion plans for the nearby industrial port. Another highlight was the …
