Echinger Lohe Nature Reserve

The Echinger Lohe nature reserve is a natural forest reserve in the Munich gravel plain. Once upon a time there was a part of a wide tanned forest area between heathland and moss landscape. The forest belongs to the state, was therefore preserved and was designated in 1978 as one of the first natural forest reserves in Bavaria. A beautiful and species-rich mixed forest with various shrubs on the edge of the forest and herbaceous growth on the ground - e.g. the forest ringelkraut.

Since the forest is left to its own devices, the two paths are not maintained or protected from falling branches and falling trees. In order not to bother the forest too much, please stay on the paths!
