Historic work trough and millstone in Binau

The largest trough I know of in the Odenwald. It is in my possession. I unearthed it from the hillside during renovations. Only a small piece of it was visible in a sandstone wall. According to my research, it was made by the great-grandfather of the Binau innkeeper, Großkopf. He lived on the property between 1910 and 1915 and ran a small farm. A fruit press with a rectangular sandstone base is located in the former wine press/horse stable.

A smaller trough stands in Mosbach-Waldstadt at the entrance to the school. Another one is at the Heidersbach mill.
