Winding Road and Lake View Near Lebrade, Naturpark Holsteinische Schweiz

Highlight (Segment) • Viewpoint

When going around the Lebrader Teich (or through the middle of it), this is my choice. The Mühlenstraße in the south of the pond is too dangerous with 100 km/h and not entirely clear and without a footpath. It's a bit more pleasant here, as the avenue is narrow and the asphalt is bad - drivers of motorized vehicles definitely rein themselves in much more!! 👍

Mucheln–Sellin Road

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Acceptable asphalt, not so much traffic. I would recommend one of the many side roads, they are all much better and there is nothing going on there. In the south, don't go straight down, there is a nasty gravel side road with large stones, it is better to take the main road via Lebrade, there is also a nice view.

Decent asphalt (2021), relatively little traffic.

In the east it continues south without traffic, in the west it goes from the height of Lammershagen on a new asphalt road in 2021 to the north with little traffic.

The L53 (Mucheln <> Selent) is also relatively little traveled, but IMHO it is not that much fun.

Schönweide–Grebin Scenic Road

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Nice route with decent asphalt (2021). The short stretch of the B430 is also easy to drive.
North of Schönweide it is great, no traffic and good roads.

The Grebin municipality includes: Grebin, Görnitz, Schönweide, Treufeld, Behl and Breitenstein.
In the vicinity of today's district of Görnitz there was a water castle in the 15th and 16th centuries, which was the origin of the later Gut Schönweide. Castle and village were on the edge of the Limes Saxonie, the border area between the settlement areas of the Saxons and Slavs. From the late Middle Ages until 1675, Schönweide was owned by the Rantzau. After several changes of ownership, the property was finally given in 1693 as a royal Danish fiefdom to Count Danneskiold-Sams, an illegitimate side line of the Danish royal family, who only kept it until 1722. This was followed by the von Kurtzrock family from Hamburg, who kept the property in their possession until the end of the 18th century. In the 1720s the farm was relocated to the valley of the Kossau and in 1731 the construction of the imposing manor house began. Towards the end of the 18th century, the goods became popular objects of speculation in the duchies as part of the scientific and agricultural reforms. The Hamburg merchants in particular acquired the goods in order to sell them quickly. In 1796 Gut Schönweide was also sold and was acquired by the Amsinck family, who kept it in their possession until 1813. Despite the sale, Schönweide retained the special legal status of a fiefdom of the Danish king until the beginning of the 19th century. It was not until 1819 that the Barons von Hollen, who had acquired the estate in 1813, were able to transfer the fief to their own. Today Gut Schönweide is owned by the Graf von Westphalen family.
