View of the Vils Valley

Highlight • Viewpoint

If you come up the Vilstalstrasse, this high valley opens up almost surprisingly. From here it goes on to the Tannheimer Tal near Schattwald or to Jungholz ... but both are still connected with steep gradients.

May 18, 2023,Frostige Vilstalrunde...🥶😂
The weather report didn't promise anything good....Temperatures between 6 and 8 degrees and after the morning sun/cloud mixture overcast sky and cold wind. So we gathered our winter clothes and off we went...through dreamy alpine landscapes along the Vils. Via Pfronten to Nesselwang for coffee and then past the Grüntensee back to Wertach.
Now it's time to warm your bones …

After the last few days, which were a bit more strenuous, a "comfortable bike tour with the MB" to the Vilstal was planned today. First stop at the Vilstal saw and continue to follow the Vils. But then we got hit hard because the planner messed up and drove after a stranger. 🤦‍♂️ Pushing for 20 minutes was the order …

Relaxed bike path and gravel road cycling with a lot of mountain panorama ⛰⛰

Fantastic tour with one small flaw. On a stretch of about 400m, it is only possible to ride with a mountain bike as it is very steep, narrow and gravel.🤷‍♂️Or push 😉I recommend going anti-clockwise. Just as beautiful and a little more pleasant to ride.

With these temperatures, cycling 🚵🚵‍♂️ is really fun, you always have a mild wind 🌬 around your nose 😃🙋🏼‍♀️

A cycling tour with many climbs and a fairly strenuous pushing section. Through the Vilstal past the Kalbeleshofalpe and up to Schattwald. This time we turn right, towards Allgäu, with the Tannheimertal remaining to the left. A short breather and a few carbohydrates at the beautifully situated Flötschensee. Via Steineberg down to Unterjoch and past the Sorgalpen, up to Jungholz. …

Finally, vacation 😎😎

Since the weather wasn't quite sure what to expect
☀️⛈️💨…
today we rode the Zinkenrunde (8017) of the Allgäu Nature Biking Tours, extended from Oy.
So there aren't a particularly large number of trails, but there are gravels of all grain sizes 😂
The descents are still nice and entertaining, and the route is a pleasant ride. …
