Our tour in the Tharandt Forest starts and ends at a small, free parking lot in Spechtshausen. Since we hadn't had breakfast yet, we used the snack bar at the edge of the forest as a picnic spot right at the beginning. For a small fee, you can buy food and drinks here and enjoy them in beautiful surroundings.
