Hidden away in the tranquil Hasental valley near the former paper mill (closed in 1999), the Fils River springs forth at an altitude of 625 meters. The Fils spring is a karst spring. Water from underground caves and fissures in the limestone of the Swabian Alb collects before emerging visibly at the spring's source.

Today I met up with my sister and brother-in-law for a voucher. Unfortunately it was much too warm to do the planned hike, so we only did a short walk along the water and at the beautiful source of the Fils.
