February 26, 2024,Hochgern über Staudacher Alm
I had been planning a winter tour to Hochgern for a long time. The path at Staudacher Alm can be a bit spontaneous. I think I'll only use it again when the weather is dry.
I thought about taking snowshoes with me, but they would have been more of a hindrance. But Grödel was necessary. Thanks to the trail runner …

Very nice and worth seeing tour. Recommended only for people with the appropriate stamina (basic fitness must be present). Tour done clockwise and recommended. Counterclockwise, the descent after the summit is very steep with large gradations. These go better uphill. Have fun hiking 😊👍🏻

A long lap with the Zwölferspitz. Some paths are closed due to forest work.

The first part of the route leads from the Marquartstein hiking car park to the Schnappenkirche. This time I chose a more direct and varied route instead of just following the forest path.

In the second section, you cross from the Schnappenkirche to the Staudacher Alm, which is served.

Before the high collapses, go up the mountain again.

That was a challenging hike. Walking almost 1,200 meters in elevation in one go, something I don't do very often. The alpine pastures up there are truly enchanting. And the vegetation is unique, so many flowers, so much green 🍀🥰

Today, I showed dear Isa a bit of 'my'🤭 beautiful Chiemgau region again 🤩.
I don't need to say much about the Hochgern, it's just perfect for a chilled chat 😄😉🥰

The truth is certainly in the short time we spent together with our son, who has been able to call the wonderful Chiemgau his home for a few …
