Weimar, what a wonderful city steeped in history. Goethe, Schiller, List, Wieland, Herder, Brentano and of course Duchess Anna-Amalia were at home here. We only got to know this enchanting city to a limited extent and will certainly come back.
We are staying at the 🏰 park Tiefurt
camping-weimar-tiefurt.de. Simply fantastic, we felt very comfortable.

Visited 8 castles. 2 from the inside:

Kromsdorf Castle
Denstedt Castle
Tiefurt Castle
Weimar City Palace
Green, yellow, red castle - Weimar
Belvedere Castle - Weimar

46 years ago I came to Belvedere for the first time, to the boarding school. That's exactly when Belvedere Castle was closed for years. Today I was finally inside.

This morning at 8 a.m. the wind blew the rain across the land like curtains, well then not, I thought. I'll lie down again. At 9:11 a.m. nothing could stop me, the weather report said no more curtains - the plan was clear, so off we went.
