On the last section of this tour (between Hohenstadt and the ruins of Anhausen), do not follow my tour into the valley and along the Bühler. Danger to life if you follow my tour there!
If you walk downhill there, follow the Bühler Valley hiking trail halfway or the hiking trail with the red dot.
Turn right there to pass …

A really nice tour from Vellberg through the Bühlertal 🥾
I liked Vellberg soooo much, I could hardly tear myself away 😂
I just have to warn you about the last section just before Vellberg, very close to the beautiful Bühler - just after the railway bridge - DO NOT follow this path!!

After yesterday's spontaneous lazy day ☕📖☕📖😊 at the beautiful campsite in front of the outdoor pool in Vellberg, we started today full of drive on the Bühlertal hike.

This route has a lot to offer in terms of landscape, but a large section of the BTW along the river is hardly passable due to waist-high nettles, many fallen trees, and …

From Vellberg Castle we go to the idyllic Bühlertal. The partly narrow trail leads through dense forest and directly along the Bühler. Good shoes and sure-footedness are a must.
The highlight is the section over large stones right along the banks of the Bühler. Great for hot summer weather!

There is also enough space for a nice picnic.

One of the most beautiful tours in the Swabian Forest is this wild Bühlertal hike.
It has everything a hiker's heart could desire. Tiny, secluded hamlets, wild, narrow gorge-like hiking trails, flower meadows, an old gypsum quarry, idyllic wet meadows by the river and a medieval town with a castle.
Have fun hiking, especially in spring

A beautiful hike from Anhausen to Vellberg, with a walk around the castle and old town, and a coffee break. Afterwards, continue on a beautiful forest path along the Bühler River, sometimes over, under, or around fallen ash trees. Not a problem in dry weather, but caution is advised in wet conditions.

… once again stumbled away from everyday life, away from the hustle and bustle … original nature, or nature in its purest form – along the loops of the Bühlertal. On this round, you will encounter quiet forest sections, natural bank areas, but also dangerous cliff collapses, difficult-to-traverse nature, a real journey of discovery – a varied journey of discovery …

Nice hike with a stop at the “Wild Mustang” in Anhausen.
The final stretch should only be walked with good shoes when it is wet.
