Schmelzwasserkanal Waterfall

Such small waterfalls are often found on this path.
But I would rather describe it as a meltwater channel.

Nice for the little ones.
But also nice for the older ones who can comfortably enjoy their drink.

Antonius Chapel

Highlight • Religious Site

A nice little chapel which invites for a short break. The way there is in many places already very steep and therefore requires some condition.

Beautiful castle ruins with a great view over the Inn Valley. The Falkenstein ruin is part of the Petersberg monument complex. After the destruction by fire in Alt-Falkenstein in the 19th century, the buildings fell into disrepair.

Petersberg near Flintsbach am Inn

A varied and historic hike.

The route leads through beautiful nature, past the ruins of Falkenstein Castle – one of the oldest stone castles in Bavaria. From there, you continue your ascent along the unique Apostle Trail, where 13 granite columns with bronze apostle reliefs, designed by artist Josef Hamberger, have stood since 1978.

Short walk to Petersberg to eat donuts.

Unfortunately, on the way back I lost my plush jellyfish, it had accompanied me over so many mountains.
We went up again, but apparently a dog took her away.

If anyone who was there today found it, I would be very happy.

First "🙋‍♀️SC-Alzing🙋‍♀️" hiking day this year, including a spontaneous stop at "Café Pauli" for coffee and cake - it was a very nice day, none of the participants knew the tour yet.

On the way to Trentino there was a stopover in Flintsbach. Contrary to the original plan to take the cogwheel train to the Wendelstein, it was this hike on the pilgrimage path to the Petersberg pilgrimage church. Partly a challenge for lowland Tyroleans due to the incline and the condition of the path. But overall it was a lot of …

The car park can accommodate around 30 cars and costs €3 per day per car.

The hike mostly goes through the forest and requires good body control and, above all, surefootedness.

The descent is "exciting" - especially when it's wet.

On the AB towards Kufstein you can see it near Flintsbach on the top right of the mountain, the white Petersbergkircherl.

The hike leads up quite soon and quite steeply. At the top, at the Petersbergkircherl, the effort is rewarded with a magnificent view of the Inn Valley. Right next to it you can strengthen yourself with good food in …

Spent a wonderful day hiking on the Petersberg. With many interesting sights, from the pilgrimage site, Teufelsloch, old mountain farms, ruins and castles.
A recommended tour for everyone
