Świnna-Poręba Dam

Mucharskie Lake (name used until 2018: Świnna Poręba Reservoir) - a dam reservoir on the Skawa River.
The reservoir is located in the communes of Mucharz, Stryszów and Zembrzyce. The dam is situated on the 26.6 km of the Skawa River.
The dam is 54 m high and 604 m long.
The dam in Świnna Poręba is one of the longest-running hydrotechnical investments. Already in the 1950s, the first land development plan was developed. Its construction started in 1986; in the years 1988–1992, the Wadowice-Skawce railway line, which ran through the area of the planned reservoir, was dismantled. Due to financial problems related to the economic changes after 1989, the works were delayed.
