Mesa Roldán is a volcanic plateau crowned by a coral reef, full of fossils, with a height above sea level of about 220 meters, which makes it a magnificent viewpoint of the coastal area of the Cabo de Gata natural park. Nijar and the surrounding mountains. The Mesa Roldán Lighthouse was inaugurated on December 31, 1863, and was electrified in 1972.
