The municipality of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres is located between the sea and the mountains and has a territorial extension of 11.9 km². As of February 2, 2023, the population was 12,108.

It belongs to the Maresme region and borders Mataró to the west, Sant Vicenç de Montalt to the east, Dosrius to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. The Montalt hill, 594 meters high, is the highest point in our district. The vegetation is basically made up of pine and oak forests in the mountainous sector.

Les Cinc Sénies Agricultural Area

Highlight (Segment) • Natural

Les Cinc Sénies is a peri-urban agricultural area with an area of more than two hundred hectares on the coastal line, between Mataró and Sant Andreu de Llavaneres.

The path starts right after Puerto Rico Square. During the tour you can see the grid formed by the fields, the greenhouses and the various farmhouses where products such as tomatoes, crocheted beans, artichokes, floret peas, potatoes, onions, Swiss chard and spinach are mainly produced, which they are sold at the meat markets under the brand name Harvested at home

The most outstanding value of this space is the maintenance of its traditional agricultural use despite the proximity of the city, from which it is separated, only by a stream.

The hill of Onofre Arnau, where the legend says that the Dragon of Mataró was born, curves around the landscape.

Camí de les Cinc Sènies

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The agricultural and forestry area of the Cinc Sènies, unique in the Maresme, is key in the commitment to more efficient local production and consumption systems, in order to promote local and quality products. But it is also vital to maintain sustainability and the environment in a heavily urbanized environment, and also as a space for leisure and recreation and connection with nature.

The Five Sènies are also one of the pillars of the future Green Ring, a project being developed in Mataró to protect and enhance the natural and semi-natural spaces that surround the city. In this sense, Mataró will request a grant from the Fundación Biodiversidad, which belongs to the Spanish Government, in order to implement the project in the area of Cinc Sènies and the Riera de Sant Simó.

A must stop for breakfast. On weekends you will find cyclists of all kinds here, so you can have breakfast with your bikes in sight.
