Hermitage of Remei

Highlight • Religious Site

Abundant remains from the Roman period have been found on the site where the current hermitage stands. Everything supposes a continuity in its consecration, first of pagan cult and later Christian. The construction of the chapel was done thanks to the donation of a piece of land for the building made by Joan de Planas Cassanyes Ferrer on July 3, 1548. A donation made by Anna Setmenat i Doms, in 1553 , made it possible to build the hermit's house. [1] In 1577 permission was sought from the bishop to change the old portal.
