Bicaz Dam - the Bicaz Dam and Lake are located near the Bicaz Gorges. It is considered to be the largest artificial dam in Romania, built over ten years, between 1950-1960, on the Bistrita River. The lake with the same name, also known as Izvorul Muntelui Lake, where the "Bicaz-Stejaru" hydroelectric power plant operates, was automatically formed. It covers an area of over 50 kilometers, and tourists have at their disposal boats, pedal boats or boats that they can rent.
