It suffered a strong decline from the 1800s, and in the middle of the 20th century it was acquired by its current owner, a gardener from Barcelona, who installed a gardening complex there that included a railway line project to connect the farmhouse with the village ( about 3 kilometers to the south). The station was built, next to the farm, and the digging of trenches and the installation of tracks and switchbacks began. Two locomotives and several wagons were brought there, from the train from Girona to Sant Feliu de Guíxols, which had just been dismantled, but the cost of building the rest of the route, which had to include a large bridge, dissuade the owner from continuing the work.
