The mysterious Seven Lakes get their name from the fact that they are not always there. The seven-year lakes were filled with water from 2007 to 2010, and when they reappear, you can experience an incredibly beautiful, open lake landscape in the middle of Frederikshåb Plantage. Even with funny phenomena like a sandy beach on the Jutland heath. The sandy beaches are created when the lakes rise to the open dunes that can always be seen here and there in the area.
