Givendale Valley Gravel Track

Highlight • Trail

Beautiful hidden valley with all weather double track taking you past woods and an ancient chapel

Minster Way Public Bridleway

Highlight • Trail

Quiet a nice place to go for a walk/hike. Due to being quiet flat great for a more leisurely stroll. Part of trail around the fields is overgrown so small dogs might not have the best time.

Sylvan Dale

Highlight • Viewpoint

Sylvan Dale is my favourite place in the Yorkshire Wolds — it’s amazingly winding and undulating. It seems to be getting better every time I visit.

View of Millington Dale

Highlight • Gorge

Ensure to go up the side fence onto the path, as the main route is now closed off and forbidden.

Northern end of this Dale is wooded, forming the Stable and Great Plantations, and the southern end opens out to clear ridgelines and big skies. Great footpath heads south through Frendal Dale and onwards towards Millington Dale.

11.7 km

This is a great track to include on your route, running south through a succession of scenic dales: Tun Dale, Frendal Dale and Nettle Dale, before rising above Millington Dale …

This part of the Chalkland Way feels very sheltered and peaceful as it emerges from Stable Plantation and Great Plantation into Tun Dale. A great track to follow.
