As I hadn't been up this route before I thought I'd take the hard tail, hoping for some gnarly trails. But it's defo a gravel route, mostly fire road and a good few road sections. Still, cracking day for it!
Using the Windermere Car ferry to cross over to the West side of the lake for this gem. the first section south to Cunsey then the Sawrey is usually fairly quiet. the tracks on this sections can get a bit biggy if it's been wet. Lots of options for cafes at Ferry Nab. @Joey's at Wray Castle. Cafes and Pubs …
