Took a break at this stream and enjoyed the scenery. You need to cross the stream via a ford which I guess means getting a bit wet when it floods - no problem on the day I cycled over it.

Ford at Moyles Court

Highlight • Bridge

Wonderful countryside views here - Dockens Water is a very beautiful river. If the ford here is flooded, do not worry; there is a footbridge provided for walkers so no need to get your feet wet!

Well, that was both interesting and exciting as well as a bit disappointing all at once.
Diagnosed with Covid-19 three days ago, supposed to have been riding in Spain today. First ride out since diagnosis, bit of a cross wind both ways on this out and back but beautifully sunny spring day. Loads of cyclists out in the forest today …

Short New Forest out and back bike ride, all on tarmac and predominantly on quieter roads, but look out for townie drivers who don't get cyclists on narrow lanes.
Basically a nice little ride, mostly pretty flat ish but one hill at the turn around point that has a short mean kicker ramp right at the top. Also a sharp …

A quick blast ride on my mountain bike in winter as the road surface can be very poor in places during winter( especially the junction just after the Royal Oak pub) lots of washed out debris and puddles etc on the road. Also today was not only cold 4⁰C but also very windy which meant keeping off the higher moors. …

Short cycle blast out into the forest with a hill at the turn around d point t. As I need to start tackling hills and trying to build some strength. Only 17km total out and back but at present that is enough. Cross head wind going out and cross tail coming home. I was 2 mins slower this time than …

Quick sprint out into the forest. Avoiding the rain and with a cross breeze.
Included a hill at the turn around point. This was one of the first hills I've climbed since cardiac surgery. So I was very pleased to have completed the ride. Managed to push the ride home a little.

Penton Hill New Forest out and back. Fairly easy Nee Forest ride apart from the bit up Penton Hill, between the Royal Oak and the Forresters pubs respectively. Bit of a strong cross head wind on the return leg which spoiled things a little and exposed my weakness. Also don't do this ride on a week day at school chucking …

Trying out the new Specialised Power Pro Mimic with Elastron saddle. Pretty comfortable an no noticeable discomfort, so far a thumbs up. Also feels pretty quick which I like and very light weight.
July 11, 2022,Road Bike Tour
Short blast into the New Forest, Ringwood to Fritham and back same route. First time back on the bike for about a month so speed definitely missing. Blazing hot day, at least 27⁰C and a 10mph head wind on my way home naturally. Need to rebuild stamina and fitness on the bike as this has evaporated.
Still just so nice …
