Budleigh Salterton Seafront

Highlight • Viewpoint

The lovely flat road to spin along the seafront. A little busy at times but a wide road with mostly slow traffic. Worth a little bustle to enjoy the seaside.

During summer there are vendors selling ice creams and fish and chips on the seafront as well as adorable multi-coloured beach huts.

The beach is pebbled and the sea seems to remain a moody brown colour close to shore with blue further out year round

Stumbled across a huge mound of stones on the beach, all sizes, some plain, some painted and majority of them with prayers written on them. I had sharpie in my bag, so wrote a prayer and placed it upon the pile. Never seen anything like this before, found it very touching that people still have faith in prayer. 🙏

Desert plants had deep roots during the Triassic period. This is the only safe and easy way to see them as fossils in the area.
