View of the Rolling Countryside and Red Kites

Highlight (Segment) • Viewpoint

This section of road is a very quiet back road, it has fabulous views all around, gently rolling through stunning country side. Plenty of Red Kites to see along this stretch too.

Stunning view over the valley - well worth a stop and a 'bike against a gate' photo!

Quiet Country Lanes Near Aylesbury

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

The surface is 90% great with a couple of rough sections (highlighted elsewhere). Don't let these deter you from what is a fine way to avoid the main route into Aylesbury. You can access it easily from Longwick to the South. You'll see more horses and cyclists than cars, I've even seen Morris Men dancing in the road outside one of the pubs.

Quiet Road Near The Chilterns

Highlight • Cycleway

A nice stretch of road on the edge of The Chilterns. Quiet and usually car free, but don't forget the small climb at the end.

View of Mentmore Towers

Highlight • Other

A Jacobethan home of the Rothschild family (until 1977) and one of the greatest houses built in the Victorian era. It's been used as a film location for many films, including Brazil, Slipstream, Eyes Wide Shut, Ali G Indahouse, Johnny English and starred as Wayne Manor in Batman Begins.
