Wolvercote Cemetery is an absolute must for fans of JRR Tolkien. While the walk from Oxford Parkway isn't pleasant, it's easy, & could be skipped with a bus. From there on. Lower Wolvercote is lovely, with some very old buildings, most notably 3 old pubs. Perhaps best to continue past the ruined Godstow Abbey & continue down the Thames, but …
