View of Conisbrough Castle from the Viaduct

Conisbrough Viaduct

Highlight • Bridge

You can use the viaduct to cross over the river, this gives you great views of the valley and Consiborough castle. Or there is a gravel trail which goes underneath the viaduct and the follows the river away from Conisborough, choose this route if you want to see the viaduct in its full magnitude

The Don Gorge is a must if traveling from doncaster to conisborough, but i plead to you... please stick to the cycle way. I took the walking path and it was not for the faint hearted!

The Boat Inn has been serving customers as far back as 1652, when famous guests such as Sir Walter Scott are said to have walked through its doors. Potteric Carr Bridleway

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

This section of bridleway skirts the edge of Potteric Carr Wetlands and joins up with other trails around the reserve.
Potteric Carr is a mixed habitat site of wetland, marsh, woodland and scrub and, despite being surrounded by railway lines, motorways and industry, it is an SSSI site and home to a wide variety of birds, including Bitterns and Marsh Harriers.
The Yorkshire Wildlife Trust visitor centre has a café on-site, so it's a good place for a stop: ywt.org.uk/nature-reserves/potteric-carr-nature-reserve

Amazon Lakes Cycle Path

Highlight • Cycleway

This is a stretch of 'dutch-stye' surfaced and lit cyclepath that links loversall to the iPort and Amazon distribution centre. At the moment it's linked to muddy, unsurfaced bridleway, so it's great for a recreational rides but, if you're a road rider, the roads that link to it are busy trunk roads. I hope that Doncaster council plan to link this up with other surfaced paths to make it good for commuters to use in the future.
