With an attractive train station right on the seafront and a quaint duck pond and gardens on the promenade, it's easy to see why Grange-over-Sands is a popular little town.

Occupying a lovely spot on Morecambe Bay, yet only 6 miles (10 km) from the southern tip of Windermere in the Lake District, it has plenty of potential for both lovers of the coast and those who want to head for the mountains. There are many places to stay and eateries, but surely the classic is to grab a fish & chips by the waterfront.
