East Shore of Lake Dobbiaco

Highlight • Lake

The lake is located at an altitude of 1,117 meters south of Toblach. It was formed in the past by several rockfalls that formed its natural basin. The water is crystal-clear and is fed primarily by the Rienza River. With a surface area of approximately 14 hectares, it is relatively small and shallow. The maximum depth is only 3.5 meters. The lake is a popular destination throughout the year and offers a wide range of recreational opportunities.

Lake Dobbiaco

Highlight • Lake

In my opinion, the lake is one of the most beautiful in the Dolomites. However, bathing is only for the toughest. The campsite restaurant has a delicious Calzone pizza!

A nature trail has been laid out around the lake. There are various information boards along the route about the nature surrounding the lake. The boards give detailed information about flora and fauna, very interesting and well done.

When it rains around Lake Toblacher. Hardly back at the hotel, the sun fights through. 🤨

A circular trail around the beautiful Lake Toblach. It's a great walk along the lake on shady and partly sunny forest paths. It's stroller-friendly and also exciting for children with its educational trail.

By the way, it's a good half-hour drive from the Sexten Caravan Park.

After the beautiful walk around the Drei Zinnen we made a round along the Toblacher See. Now that we're close and still have enough energy left ☺️

When exploring the surrounding area, I noticed the small lake.
The hike was really nice and varied. At the end you can also stop off.

After the 3-Zinnen view and the circumnavigation of the Dürrenses, we finally went around the Toblacher See.

Stopover on the way to Kiens in the Puster Valley at the beautiful green shimmering alpine lake in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park. We stroll around the lake and enjoy this enchanting place for 2 hours before driving to our hotel.
