Nagold Valley Cycle Path

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Beautifully paved bike path, always along the Nagold and very suitable to avoid a piece of the B 463.

Eyachtal Cycle Path

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

A must in the northern Black Forest. Top surface, except for a short paved passage at the foot / access to the Enz valley. Furthermore, hardly any traffic and pleasantly cool in summer. Half way there is even a drinking water point.

Ascent to Dobel

Highlight (Segment) • Mountain Pass

In the center of Bad Herrenalb branching off at the roundabout, the driveway to Dobel begins.

The road first runs with a slight incline (<5%) to the exit of the town, then it becomes temporarily steeper. If you have gained some height, you have a view of the falcon rocks on the other side of the valley. In the further course the road winds through the forest up the mountain without ramps or strikingly steep sections without a serpentine.

The forest clears 500m before the village, there is a turnoff towards Neusatz, but the climb continues straight ahead. The slope continues in town until the street turns left. The climb is done. There is a café just behind the curve for a well-deserved break.

"Mountain meadows" would be more appropriate in my opinion. Here is also one of the northernmost ski lifts in the Black Forest, maybe the northernmost? Will there still be enough snow in times of climate change?

View of Bad Herrenalb

Highlight • Viewpoint

This beautiful view can be enjoyed by following the signs for the "Black Forest Cycle Route." This fully paved route, suitable for racing bikes, is also featured as the "Black Forest Cycle Route (Loffenau - Dobel)" highlight.

Würzbachtal Road Cycling Route

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

A great racing bike route through the middle of the forest - whether uphill or downhill. There is a well about the middle of this section where you can fill up your bottles. If you are in the mood for other soft drinks, you can also stop off at the Calmbach trout farm, which is located at the lower end of the descent. There are also delicious Black Forest trout from the grill, in case your energy stores are empty. You can find the opening times here: forellenzucht-calmbach.de
