Beech Forest Trail in Harz National Park

The winter mountain trail was an absolute highlight for me! It starts quite harmless, but after about a third you can take the right ride and with about 30 or …

View of the Ecker Dam

Highlight • Viewpoint

A beautiful view of the dam, which we will cross a little later, framed by trees. A worthwhile hiking trail of around 10 km leads around the lake.

Eckertalsperre dam

Highlight • Monument

At the secluded Eckertalsperre is usually not much going on, because the next parking lot is far away. Previously, the German-German border ran through the middle of the dam. A landmark on the dam still reminds of it today.

Beautiful hiking weather, so let's get out into nature.
After choosing first, we started our tour at the Radauwasserfall car park.
First we went up the zigzag path, followed the Winterberg slope path and then finally turned off onto the Teufelsstieg to the Molkenhaus.
Beautiful to walk, a great path 👌.
We took a break at the Hasselteich with champagne, …

Beautiful hilly hike from Bad Harzburg to the Radau waterfall and the dam. The river Radau gives the waterfall its name and also rushes loudly through the village. The waterfall is nice to look at, but it's right on the road. Good for those who are there outside of rush hour and get a clear view. Great trail also above …

A beautiful strenuous hike. Hardly any road, many paths and interesting relics of the past.

The waterfall is artificial, but a nice entry point! You quickly reach a height and the eternal view of the Brocken! The last part before the barrier is asphalted, but you can already see the dam and the water sparkling! The border actually ran right in the middle of the dam! From top to bottom - you then walk right …

After some back and forth, we finally set off on a little hike this morning 🥾...it's so cold 🥶.

Our destination was the Radau Waterfall near Bad Harzburg...rumor had it that it was almost completely frozen. So we bundled up and off we went 🚗.

I think the pictures speak for themselves 😍 what a sight!

Today we started our first tour in the Harz for this year and collected stamps number 1 and 169. Light drizzle from above and plenty of water from below accompanied us. Part of the route was asphalt, the natural paths were great.

One of the most beautiful hikes I have ever done

A wonderful tour in autumn. The paths were easy to walk on and brightly colored. We also had beautiful views of the Brocken, the Eckertal and Bad Harzburg. At the Molkenhaus we were able to fortify ourselves with buttermilk and currrywurst / french fries.
