Inn Cycle Path at Sieglanger

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

As part of the Inn cycle path a great section between Völs and Innsbruck. Well paved. Only in the area of the motorway entrance Innsbruck West lift a few roots on the asphalt and there for slight bumps, which one possibly feels on the road bike. Generally a busy and much traveled route by amateur athletes and commuters.

View of Telfs and the Inn Valley from Buchen

Highlight (Segment) • Viewpoint

The Telfser Berg or Buchener Sattel is a constant slope and one of the possibilities to cross the Alps in a north-south direction. At the beginning there is a lot of traffic, but the traffic at the junction to Mösern becomes less and the journey more pleasant. There are about 7 km in about 600 meters of altitude, depending on the starting point .. On average around the 10% gradient without significant recreation. The reward comes after a short descent through a wooded area: the view into the Gaistal. Mieminger chain, Wetterstein mountains and on the other side the Karwendel mountains. a beautiful plateau in which Mittenwald is located.

From the bridge you have a wonderful view over the Ache to the Hohe Munde but also across to the Puital and Öfelekopf.

View of the Martinswand

Highlight • Viewpoint

Imposing, natural and proud, the Martinswand near Zirl seems to be watching over the village. No wonder that the Martinswand and the Ehnbachklamm is home to one of the most interesting climbing regions in Tyrol!

At the foot of this climbing paradise, at 622 meters above sea level, Zirl: Only ten kilometers from the capital of the Alps, you can feel the heartbeat of nature and the pulse of the city here as well.

If you want to have a change even without climbing skills: About 200 meters above the Inntalsohle lies in the middle of the Martinswand the Maximilians grotto, a 26 meter wide and 19 meter high natural cave. According to legend, Emperor Maximilian once took refuge in the grotto after he had chased himself in the chamois hunt. The Grottensteig in the Martinswand has been redesigned and has been safely accessible since the beginning of April 2015. Bridges, fences and handrails provide a child-safe way to the magnificent viewpoint on Zirl and the upper Inn Valley.
