The former manor is owned by the wine cooperative. In the courtyard there is a very attractively equipped sales room with the wines of the region.

Rödelseer Gate

Highlight • Monument

The Rödelseer Gate is perhaps the most beautiful gate of Iphofen's well-preserved city fortifications. It is located in the north of the town, on the road towards Rödelsee.

May 30, 2024,Dörferrunde Mainbernheim – Frohstöckheim-Rödelsee - Iphofen - Neumühle
What a wonderful, almost summery day it was today?! With this brilliant weather, I just couldn't stay in my dark apartment. So I grabbed my hiking boots and set off for Rödelsee Spring.

To get to Rödelsee, I chose the Sickergrundweg, which starts right at the Rödelseer Tor in Iphofen. It led me along fields - especially through the wonderfully …

A visually diverse hike around Iphofen – designated as an i1 Sickergrundweg (Sickergrund Trail). Worth seeing were the Jewish cemetery (from the outside, as it's closed) at Rödelsee, the local spring festival, and the moated castle at Fröhstockheim. And of course, Iphofen and Mainbernheim as a whole.

The "hiking trail" itself was less pleasant, as it was almost entirely paved.

This circular hike marked "i1" leads over fields and fields to our neighboring towns of Rödelsee, Fröhstockheim and Mainbernheim, which are well worth seeing. Along the way there are many varied impressions of the Lower Franconian cultural landscape.

Start/finish: Rödelseer Tor Iphofen

Tip: The paths are mostly paved and therefore easy to walk on even in winter!
