Hard road ride. Very good fitness required. Mostly well-paved surfaces and easy to ride. The starting point of the route is accessible with public transport.

Highlight • Structure

The road markings are really cool to see, though it’s not clear from the route we followed that they are on the descent to Anyós so we made it more of a loop back to Andorra La Vella rather than an out and back from encamp. It was an amazing descent!!

Beixalis Pass

Highlight • Mountain Pass

Brutal pass in every sense. The climb from Vila is very hard, especially the first kilometers. As you get closer to the top, it softens. Climbing from the other side, from Anyós, it's a bit more gradual and a bit less hard. The views are worth it!

Medium-length pass, very useful for moving from one valley to another, avoiding traffic and accumulating more unevenness along the way.

View from Bordes d'Envalira

Highlight • Viewpoint

Bordes d'Envalira is a small Andorran town along the road before reaching Grau Roig. The town has nothing special; However, the panoramic views of the port and the mountains are spectacular. It is a pleasure to observe this landscape while climbing the pass.

July 26, 2024,AND Pyrenäen: Collada de Beixalís ▸ Coll d'Ordino
Today it was the turn of the dwarf state of Andorra 🇦🇩. This is actually only known for ski tourism, bargain hunters and occasional traffic collapses. In Andorra there are only two directions, uphill or downhill. All of its asphalted mountain routes are clearly marked for road cyclists and are regularly swept in the morning 👍🧹. Here you will find …

Before we continue to France we drive one more lap.
At the beginning we go down the main road, there is a lot of traffic even on Sunday mornings, but there is a wider lane for cyclists. As it gets steeper it falls away but the cars are not only a nuisance compared to the day before, there are already …

Ascents to Ordino, spectacular, and Encamp, long and with a lot of traffic in several sections. Andorra is unfathomable.
